The climate, soil and growing conditions of the area coupled with experienced and talented wine makers results in excellent vintages. All the area wineries offer tours and tasting, but schedules vary by season. A tip: When you plan to go on a Newport vineyard or winery tour, bring a picnic basket with you. After your tour, you can enjoy a picnic on the grounds.
