NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND TRANSPORTATION
Newport
Rhode Island was known for many years, and is still considered
by many, the sailing capital of the world. Home to America's
Cup for over a hundred years, the waters off Narragansett Bay offer
some of the best winds for sailing and great areas for general boating.A
must-do while in Newport is a harbor tour.
There are some great sights to be seen that can only be observed
from the water. Hammersmith Farm, the home of Jacqueline Bouvier,
is now a private home, but the grounds are breathtaking and can
only be seen from the water. There are dozens of boats that offer
tours daily. What you should know: If you're prone to seasickness,
a powerboat might be a better option.Best kept secret: Most
tour boats offer a sunset sail which includes drinks and snacks.
It is a bit more expensive, but Newport Rhode Island sunsets are
breathtaking and it is worth it. Newport Rhode Island Charter
