Is the oldest, continually chartered military organization in the United States chartered in 1741. Collections include artillery, cannon, militaria, and original Paul Revere Cannons. Military uniforms from famous people from around the world and 15 original cannon from 1798 to WWII.

The museum offers a spectacular overview that brings Newport's history to life. The Newport Historical Society uses the finest of decorative arts, artifacts of everyday life, graphics, historic photographs, and audio-visual programs to tell Newport's story.

Museum of Yachting

Admission: $4 per person

Founded in 1980, the Museum of Yachting is dedicated to the preservation of yachting traditions and heritage. The Museum has a 10,000 square foot collection of yachts, artifacts and exhibits which intrepret the sport and its history.

The History of the "art and science" of naval warfare, chiefly as studied at the Naval War College through the years, is the principal theme of the Naval War College Museum, which is located in Founders Hall (1820), the original site of the College (1884 - 1889) and a National Historic Landmark.
