Newport Rhode Island has a very stropng local arts community and their work is evident in the many art galleries and shops in Newport. Once a month, the local galleries open their doors for a reception and evening show. Gallery Night is held the second Thursday of the month and makes for an excellent self-guided art walk anytime.
